Lou Gehrig Day with the Chicago Cubs 2025

Lou Gehrig Day, held annually by MLB on June 2^nd, marks the day Gehrig became the starting first baseman for the New York Yankees, the beginning of his incredible streak of consecutive games played. With two MLB teams in Chicagoland, we celebrate Lou twice a year.

The Chicago Cubs will be at an away game on June 2nd, so they will honor Lou Gehrig Day on Sunday, June 15th at 1:20 PM with their game against the Pittsburg Pirates.
